**__****_JOB SUMMARY_****__****SHIFT: **7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Oversight during clinic hours Monday - Friday)Working closely and directly with the Chair within assigned specialty service, Regional Director, and Physician Leaders to plan, direct, organize, and oversee all aspects of patient care delivery for designated clinic, staff and/or for service line. Oversees all aspects of clinic operations and provision of patient care services including management of clinical, administrative and interdisciplinary staff, patient access and flow, resource allocation and the quality service delivery for assigned area. Is accountable for staff management, financial performance, labor productivity, adherence to patient access and practice standards, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Oversite for clinical practice including complex, high risk care/procedures, i.e. medicine administration, infusions, blood transfusions, sedation, nursing care.Responsible for effectively and independently initiating, delegating, supervising and monitoring functions within the clinic, including resource allocation, work assignments, determination of daily work priorities, clinical practice, policies, procedures and actions required to meet deadlines and resolve problems.Responsible for 24 hour administrative management accountability and day-to-day management of clinic or service line. Establishes collaborative partnership with physician and operations site leadership to achieve system goals and objectives for the clinic or service line. Implements approved clinical practices and standards, in accordance with compliance and regulations.This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCHHS Personnel Rules.**_Minimum Qualifications_**Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of IllinoisBachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or universityFive (5) years of full-time Nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingThree (3) years of experience as a Nurse Manager with at least one (1) year in an ambulatory settingAbility to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekendsCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification**_Preferred Qualifications_**Master's degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration from an accredited college or universityThree (3) years of clinical practice management experiencePrevious work experience in a union environmentCertification in assigned specialty areaBilingual**_Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics_**Knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)Ability to calculate budget estimates necessary to evaluate costs.Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends**.****_VETERAN PREFERENCE_****_PLEASE READ_**When applying for employment with the Cook County Health & Hospitals System, preference is given to honorably discharged Veterans who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States for not less than 6 months of continuous service.To take advantage of this preference a Veteran **_must_:**Meet the minimum qualifications for the position.Identify self as a Veteran on the employment application by answering yes to the question by answering yes to the question, \"Are you a Military Veteran?\"Attach a copy of their **DD 214, DD 215 or NGB 22** (Notice of Separation at time of application filing.
