**Summary**



The Custom Communications Consultant is responsible for working with clients, creating communication plans and ensuring all timelines are met. The Communications Consultant uses independent, discretionary judgment more that 90% of his/her day.



**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following:



+ Develop and preserve client relationships.

+ Lead conference calls and on-site meetings; prepare meeting materials (agenda, presentations, etc).

+ Initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects.

+ Identify communication challenges and present engaging solutions

+ Continually increases & demonstrates a working knowledge of employee communication trends, new products, industry trends & changes, developing technology & innovative concepts in area of expertise to stay abreast of the changing marketplace to meet requirements of marketing new & renewal business.

+ Establish campaign goals, budget and objectives with measurable results.

+ Build and execute holistic communication strategies

+ Build detailed timelines, coordinating schedules of team subject matter experts.

+ Navigate project management software to track and maintain project status.

+ Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

+ Consistently exercise effective communication and follow through and act as the client's point of contact during the project implementation.

+ Ensure accurate and effective communication to involved parties (client facing or internal client leads/managers).

+ Manage third party vendors. This responsibility involves scheduling, coordination and evaluation of the vendor's performance in completing the tasks and deliverables obtaining Client's acceptance for the work performed.

+ Dedicate extra hours that are required to complete tasks when projects are prevalent and the demands are high.

+ Evaluate existing processes for opportunities to improve efficiency

+ Support HUB's philosophy, decisions and methodology in developing and maintaining a \"leading edge\" and positive work environment.

+ Source for special projects and materials as needed

+ Other duties as assigned



**Key Competencies/Requirements:**



To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:



+ Bachelor's Degree

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Effectively communicate with clients via conference calls and/or in person meetings

+ Attention to detail and critical thinking skills

+ Strong team work and work ethic with a positive attitude

+ Strong project management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects from inception to completion

+ Effectively manage resources (vendors, time, and budget)

+ Print management experience

+ Ability to work in an environment of tight deadlines and pressure and consistently deliver quality results

+ Ability to multi-task in a high paced, rapidly changing environment

+ Creativity, innovative out-of-the-box thinking

+ Position can be based in our San Diego or Chicago offices, or it can be home based with some travel expected
