A Trust & Estates Safekeeping Services Associate in J.P. Morgan's Global Trusts & Estates Support Services is an integral component servicing the Trust & Estates Business. A Trust & Estates Safekeeping Services Associate manages a team that is responsible for a variety of functions pertaining to processing data and documentation management including document handling, preparation, imaging and archiving.
A strong candidate must have excellent attention to detail and PC skills in order to oversee large volumes of data in a team environment. A candidate must be comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization and work effectively across the various business partners. Must be a leader and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously to effectively meet deadlines. A successful candidate will:
+ Act as liaison for Trust and Estates and Operations Teams to obtain and redirect client instructions as appropriate.
+ Execute on daily controls- ensuring all vault items are within the compliance for safekeeping of assets.
+ Anticipate challenges and implement solutions in order to manage the expectations of the internal business partners for a positive client experience.
+ Represent the team as SME on any projects that impact the team's process.
+ Assist with testing and implementing changes that impact the various systems used by the team.
+ Strong aptitude to research client documentation to review documents.
+ Perform verification for work processed by team members to identify/resolve data issues.
+ Act as the escalation point for issues, which involves working with business partners to resolve inquires, investigate issues and develop a satisfactory response to the client's concerns.
+ Provide training/support to the team and our business partners.
+ Investigate opportunities to reduce costs, provide automation, and analyze fluctuations in key metrics.
The successful candidate must show professional concern and have a desire to be a leader within Safekeeping Services. Qualifications include:
+ An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience (managing vault/safekeeping operations and people).
+ Ability to partner with other business associates to develop process improvement strategies, integrate processes, and execute processes.
+ Strong time management, leadership, strategic thinking, and risk management skills.
+ Ability to take ownership and be accountable.
+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, simultaneously.
+ Aptitude for analyzing issues and information accurately and demonstrating effective issue resolution and decision-making skills (fact based decisions).
+ Flexible with a \"can do\" approach.
+ Ability and desire to manage a team.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
